North Elementary School students were entertained during their annual fun day June 6.
The circus-themed event included 12 different stations for students in grades kindergarten through fourth.
The children got to jump in a bounce-a-round, play mini golf, participate in a whipped cream gummy bear eating contest, play cornhole, pie a clown, have popcorn races and make a craft.
Students also got to try their hands at the dunk tank. Fourth-grade students had the pleasure of dunking Tracy Kaschak, school principal, while students in grades kindergarten through third tried their best to dunk Mr. Wesolowsky, the elementary gym teacher.
Carrie Schreffler, PTO mom, said fun day gives the kids a day to relax.
“It allows them the freedom to express themselves without having to be confined to the structure of a classroom,” said Schreffler.
Ali Murphy, chair of the event, said fun day is a joy for everyone.
“It gives the students an opportunity to see a fun side of their teachers,” said Murphy.
